With Life’s hustle and Bustle, we at Blades appreciate that the time spent with us is your sanctuary to just sit quietly with your thoughts and be pampered which is why we offer a ‘switch off’ appointment where we would simply switch off from chit chat and allow you to ‘just be’. A mutual understanding and respect of your wish.

Stylist

I Started my hairdressing journey by accident over 30 years ago, it was either Hairdressing or Garden design until my mum stated that garden design in the winter wouldn’t be as much fun, I have never looked back. I attended college back in the day which was how it was back then and then trained further in a teaching salon to gain more knowledge and experience. I left to have my family and whilst away from hairdressing trained as a beautician in 2004. I am now lucky enough to be at Hair & Beauty Salon and love every minute of it, it is so rewarding watching the smile of a happy client. Creating colourful styles is what excites me, the bolder the better. I am trained in all gender hairdressing. I love working with, talking, and listening to people. Making them feel better about themselves has no better feeling.

I started my hairdressing journey 24 years ago following the footsteps of my mum and have never looked back.. I love my clients and making people feel better in themselves. Seeing people leave the salon with a smile is what it is all about.

OLIVIA

OLIVIA

2nd year apprentice/ Junior stylist

I was never sure of what I wanted to do with my future apart from being a ‘princess, Lawyer or Doctor' which seemed the popular choice amongst my year group. I remember always loving the photos that I saw on social media of the beautiful colours and styles that can be created on hair. I am an artsy person and enjoy creating new and fresh things. Since starting my journey I have learned a lot, I came into the trade not even knowing how to do a simple braid, now, I am preparing to take my final assessment! I am nervous and equally excited and am grateful to have found my passion. I am so thankful to the Blades team for taking me under their wing and pushing me to be the best that I can. I am currently training to do all gender hairdressing. I love meeting new people and now have my regulars…such an exciting time and I cannot wait.

CHELSEY

CHELSEY

Freelance Guest Stylist

I am self employed and mybusiness name is 'Just for you'. I joined a training academy at 16, I had always wanted to do hairdressing after sitting on the floor and watching mum with her clients. I still can’t believe that I have been doing this now for 14 years, it seems like only yesterday. Cliché I know but there really is no better feeling than watching your clients face light up and feel so much better than when they came in. I wouldn’t change that for the world.
